Woodland International Research Group boasts an extensive legacy of 80 years of collective research expertise, coupled with over 200 years of combined clinical and psychiatric proficiency. Originally focused on psychiatric research studies, the site has since diversified its scope to encompass a wide array of medical studies. A beacon of leadership within the medical sphere, Woodland proudly extends its research initiatives to both rural and urban areas across Arkansas. Since its inception, Woodland International Research Group has emerged as a trailblazer in clinical research, having effectively conducted 200 trials and garnering recognition as a top enroller in numerous endeavors. Our site’s commitment to research subjects and the broader community is intricately linked to the efficacy of our processes and the safety measures afforded to each participant throughout their clinical trial journey.

Our Clinical Research Facilities
Little Rock, AR Location
- 12,000 square feet
- An 18-bed individual room unit providing privacy and comfort during off PK (pharmacokinetic) days
- A 10-bed open acute care unit for subjects requiring constant monitoring
- A 12-bed unit with two beds in each room
- All units are equipped with emergency care systems, ensuring rapid response to any medical needs
- Each room features individual TVs, enhancing comfort and entertainment options for participants
- The common room offers additional amenities, including game systems and basketball for relaxation and recreation
- The nursing station is conveniently located within the units, enabling study staff to closely monitor patients and provide prompt assistance
- Situated approximately 5 miles from St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center and less than 1 mile from the Arkansas Heart Hospital, the facility offers easy access to emergency medical care, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants
- The CRU is specifically designed for special populations, including those with CNS disorders and diseases in various therapeutic areas
- The facility is equipped with separate exam and procedure rooms to ensure efficient and convenient care delivery
- The multidisciplinary staff includes a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, a board-certified family practitioner with expertise in pain and addiction, as well as RNs, LPNs, PCTs, nutritionists, CRCs, neuropsychiatric raters, phlebotomists, and regulatory, QC, and ACLS certified staff
- The CRU also accommodates adult and elderly Phase 1-2a inpatient trials, sleep disorder trials, and more complex studies with smaller cohorts, facilitating specialized procedures such as serial PK draws and PSG while maintaining separation from the adult psychiatric populations on the larger 40-bed main unit
