Brain Matters Research

Brain Matters Research was founded to serve a need for high-quality clinical research in Southeast Florida. We have the experience and facility to conduct safe, precise, well controlled research studies with new and existing drugs. We believe that state-of-the-art care includes informing patients and families about increased risk factors for the disease, the latest prevention information, and the different types of clinical trial opportunities currently available. Our sites typically have 18-20 ongoing clinical trials. These research studies range from prevention trials that seek to understand who gets this disease and why, to trials seeking to help current sufferers of neurological conditions, like Alzheimer’s or other dementias.

1 on-site laboratories with 2 fulltime phlebotomists, ECG machines, refrigerated centrifuge, and a lab processing area with CLIA waiver
1 climate controlled ambient double locked drug storage area
2 double locked drug rooms/pharmacy with ThermoScientific refrigerators with temp. excursion alarms that are monitored daily with temperature log collection
Bilingual staff
-20 degree and freezers monitored daily with temp log collection
Crash cart and an AED on site
Facility is 1 ½ miles from fire/paramedics and 2 community hospitals are both within 3 miles
4 quiet rooms for psychometric/neuropsychological testing/rating
Secure interim on site record storage as well as off-site long-term document storage with 24 hour retrieval availability.
Comfortable dedicated monitoring areas equipped with high-speed internet, telephone, and copy machines.
